ASR is partnered with a leading manufacturer within the KBB sector, currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth and transformation. This is a newly created role within the group, offering an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual to make a real impact and shape the next stage of their contracts strategy.
We are seeking a National Contracts Manager to lead, grow, and develop business across the residential new build, high-rise apartments, and retirement/care home sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of commercial and technical expertise — someone confident in interpreting specifications, understanding drawings, and delivering tailored solutions to customers across multiple channels.
The Role
- Manage key relationships with major national and regional housebuilders, retirement living developers, and specialist contract merchants.
- Work closely with senior decision-makers at head office and procurement level to secure and grow national agreements.
- Drive new business across Residential New Build, High-Rise, and Retirement Living channels, dedicating approx. 70% of your time to developing new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with estimating teams, group sales, and national merchant partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Act as the bridge between clients and internal departments (design, compliance, logistics) to ensure technical and commercial excellence.
- Attend key trade shows and exhibitions to represent the brand and build market presence.
Customer Base
- National & Regional Developers: CALA Homes, Lovell, McCarthy Stone, Churchill Retirement
- Contract Merchants: C.P. Hart, Sanipex, James Hargreaves, PCS, Faucets
- National Merchant Contract Teams: CPS, Wolseley
The Person
- Proven experience in a similar role to (Contracts Manager, National Contracts Manager, Head Of Contracts) role within the KBB, bathroom, kitchen, flooring, or other interior industries.
- Ideally based in the Midlands or the Southern part of the country
- Strong technical understanding of drawings, specifications, and product application.
- Excellent relationship builder with the ability to engage confidently at all levels — from site to boardroom.
- Commercially astute, driven, and motivated by business growth.
- Skilled in project and contract management, with strong organisational and communication skills.
- This is NOT an A&D-focused role; we need someone with a specific customer base and specification experience.
